I just installed the latest version of MainBoss Basic and now I'm getting the error message "Your license does not allow use of this version of this program." What should I do?

MainBoss Basic uses "version" license keys. This means that every license key only works up to a particular version. For example, your license key might work up to MainBoss Basic 2.9 Update 8 but will not work for Update 9.

If you are currently enrolled in the MainBoss Annual Support plan, you are issued up-to-date license keys whenever they're necessary. When you receive one or more new license keys, you should enter them into MainBoss immediately. To do so, login as the MainBoss ADMINISTRATOR and use Administration -> License Keys to enter the new keys.

However, existing versions of MainBoss will continue to work, even if you don't enter the new keys. The new keys will only be required when you upgrade MainBoss Basic to a newer version. Therefore, you (or someone else in your organization) may have received new up-to-date keys, but didn't bother to enter them because they weren't necessary. When you see the error message "Your license does not allow use of this version of this program", press OK and MainBoss will prompt you to enter your new keys. (If you can't find the keys that were issued to you, please contact MainBoss Support and we will re-issue the keys.)

If you are not currently enrolled in the MainBoss Annual Support plan, you must reinstate your support before you will be issued new keys. We will charge a reinstatement fee as well as the usual support plan fee. Please contact MainBoss Support for further information.
