FPFIREEXSPW/G-A Fire Protection Fire Extinguisher Stored Press w/Gauge - Annual

                                                     Man Hours .5
Special Instructions:

Do not pressurize any extinguisher that shows signs of mechanical damage,
corrosion, or which has reduced pressure without being discharged. In such
cases, release pressure and perform hydrostatic test. (See FPFIREEXHYDROT).

Items to Check & Initial Completion:

1.___ Remove any obstructions to visibility and easy accessibility.
2.___ Inspect shell for dents, broken hanger attachments or hangers, corrosion
at seams, damaged threads, and legible operating instructions.
3.___ Check for broken seals, bent, damaged, or missing pins, or any other signs
that extinguisher has been used or tampered with. Regardless of gauge
readings, if seal or tamper device is broken, release pressure (without
discharging extinguishing agent) and check for proper level of
extinguishing agent. Repressurize extinguisher and check for leaks.
4.___ Tap gauge to see if it is jammed or immovable. Read gauge. If not in
operating range, check for leaks and repressurize. Inspect gauge casing
      and crystal for damage.
5.___ Replace cracked, cut, or brittle hose, and damaged couplings. Remove any
      obstructions in nozzle or hose.
6.___ Replace broken seal or tamper indicators, tag extinguishers and replace on
      hanger.
7.___ Clean up work area and remove all trash from area upon completion of test
      and inspection.
