Do you have
a humorous maintenance story?
Working in a maintenance environment, you are bound to stumble across some funny or interesting events and we would like to hear about them! Thinkage is launching a new contest featuring humorous maintenance stories submitted by our MainBoss customers. We are looking for maintenance related anecdotes and real life stories that don’t have anything to do with MainBoss itself, but which will be appreciated by other maintenance staff and perhaps put a smile on their face. If you have any interesting experiences to share, please email us atstories@mainboss.com. The exciting part is that every person who submits a story will automatically receive a free MainBoss cap and the best submission each month will receive $100! If that isn’t already great enough, here is something even better: The best submission of the year (selected in December 2005) will win a Macintosh iPod!
Please click on the following link for full details on submitting your stories:

Let the fun begin!

Online Training now available!
MainBoss Training is now offered online as well as
onsite. Training occurs via the Internet where the trainer and the attendees
connect through a web conferencing program. This method allows the attendees to
see the trainer’s computer screen through their own computer and speak with the
trainer using their telephone. The trainer presents the material in the same
fashion as for onsite training—the only difference is that everyone stays in
their own office! The trainer can even pass control to the various attendees
for hand-on exercises. The key benefits of online training are:
-
Online training can be purchased in ½ day
increments, which can be further divided into one hour sessions spread over
several days or weeks
-
The information is learned when it is needed and the
attendees have time to absorb the material and apply it before going on to the
next topic
-
The customer will save on travel expenses
-
Scheduling is more flexible. If the trainer travels
to your site and your most important MainBoss user is sick that day, the
training still has to take place. With online training, it is easier to
reschedule a session so that everyone can attend.
-
Employees won’t have to devote an entire day of time
to training and will have to spend less time playing catch-up on their regular
work
-
Training is still completely customized to suit your
needs. Hands-on exercises are still incorporated into the curriculum and of course
questions are always welcome
-
Worried about not meeting your trainer in person?
With the help of the trainer’s web cam, you will be able to put a face to the
voice!

Thank
You to our customers!
Recently a new MainBoss customer had some trouble
setting up their MainBoss program on a Novell Server. In order to provide them
with the greatest possible knowledge base, Thinkage sent out an email to all
MainBoss customers, looking for sites that successfully use MainBoss in
conjunction with a Novell server. The response was overwhelming! We would like
to thank all MainBoss users who took the time to reply to our email request. It
is just great to know that people out there will support and help each other.
