1. MainBoss: What’s in store for 2002

The New Year brings many exciting opportunities to make MainBoss CMMS even more successful. We are actively expanding our dealer base to provide more efficient service to both existing and potential MainBoss customers. New dealer standards have been put in place to ensure a high standard of knowledge of the MainBoss software and procedures. We will be continuing to attend numerous tradeshows around the world to recruit dealers and attract new customers. Tradeshows also provide an excellent opportunity to connect with existing customers; we always look forward to receiving feedback and suggestions.

Plans are being made for MainBoss Version 2.9, which is tentatively scheduled for release later on this year. The new version will incorporate various improvements suggested by MainBoss users to make their work even more efficient. MainBoss end users continue to comment on the increased productivity experienced after implementing onsite training. With our expanding dealer base, customers will have greater access to receiving training from a representative closer to their location, which may result in cost savings and more flexible training dates and times.

The MainBoss Staff wishes you a prosperous year 2002 and we hope to continue our business relationship with you in the years to come.

2. Did you know: How to create a report showing which work orders are overdue

With the MainBoss History Report you can easily create a report that will show you all your overdue work orders.

  1. In MainBoss, click on Work Orders->Reports->History
  2. Under the Work Order Criteria tab, enter yesterday’s date into the ‘To’ column of the Work End field. Leave the ‘From’ column blank.
  3. Under the Status section in the Work Order Criteria tab, make sure that ‘Open’ is checked, but that ‘Closed’ and ‘Voided’ are not checked. This indicates that you wish to see all open work orders for which the work should have been done by yesterday.

4.   Now specify the remaining details for the report. For example, under the Display Options tab, go to the Details section and select ‘Detail with cost totals’ if you just want to see the Work Order number or select ‘Detailed Cost Records’ and ‘Include Work Order Details’ if you want to see more information for each overdue work order.
