1. 2001 MainBoss Customer Survey Results

MainBoss Maintenance Software extends a big thank you to everyone who responded to the 2001 MainBoss customer survey. After totaling the results, we're pleased to announce that overall, MainBoss customers are satisfied with the software and the support they receive. In fact, 90% of the survey participants were either satisfied or very satisfied with MainBoss CMMS as a product, and 92% were either satisfied or very satisfied with the support they received. We also received many useful comments and suggestions for improvements and new features for MainBoss CMMS, MainBoss @Requests, and the Work Request Notifier. Many of these suggestions will be implemented in future releases of the products.

2. Do you know: How to transfer inventory from one storeroom to another?

When your inventory is moved between storerooms, you should record this transfer in your MainBoss database. This will ensure consistency between your actual and recorded inventory stock; it will also make it easier for personnel to locate items when needed. To record an inventory transfer, follow these steps:

1. Go to Inventory->Adjustments->Transfer.

2. Pick the inventory item from the pull down menu beside the Inv. Item field.

3. Go to the ‘From’ section and pick the building and storeroom where the item was previously stored.

4. Go to the ‘To’ section and pick the building, storeroom, and location where the item will now be stored.

5. Enter the quantity that will be transferred in the Transfer quantity field. You may transfer some or all of the items from the old to the new storeroom.

6. Enter a reference for this transaction (if applicable).

7. Press Save to save the transaction, then Cancel to return to the main menu.
