1. New MainBoss prices now in effect

On January 1, 2003 MainBoss adopted a new pricing strategy for its products and services. In particular, we’ve introduced a number of MainBoss suites, which offer new customers complete maintenance solutions. For example, the MainBoss Standard Suite is a single package that combines MainBoss CMMS for a single user and MainBoss @Requests with 25 Requestors; this suite sells at a discounted price below what customers would pay if they bought each program separately.

The suites we’ve created cover a wide range of needs. However, it’s also possible for customers to create their own customized suites to meet their specific requirements. 2. MainBoss Version 2.9 to be released in February

We’re currently putting the finishing touches on MainBoss 2.9, to be released early in February. This new package promises a number of improvements over previous releases:

• In response to user requests, we’ve increased the size of many information fields. For example, we’re giving you more room to record the names of vendors, contact people, and buildings; we’ve also increased identification codes on equipment, spaces, and inventory items.
• We’ve improved the handling on work requests, making it easier for you to create them and print them. In fact, there’s a new separate menu for operations related to work requests.
• We’ve created a new Overdue Work Order report. This will list work orders that were scheduled to have been completed but still aren’t marked as closed.
• All software packages have improved security features based on license keys. From the user’s point of view, license keys are simple: whenever you license new software (or subscribe to a MainBoss support plan), we’ll send you a license key that you can record using MainBoss itself. MainBoss does the rest—figuring out the details of your license, what it authorizes you to do, and so on.
• A number of other small improvements have been introduced, most of them thanks to user suggestions and comments.

Of course, we’ve retained all the things that have made MainBoss great for years. It’s still a complete maintenance management solution that’s easy to get started with and easy to use.
