1. How to obtain additional User licenses for your MainBoss software
As your MainBoss maintenance software becomes fully integrated into your maintenance department and other parts of your company, you may find that your current user licenses aren’t sufficient to allow everyone continuous use of the program. As you know, MainBoss is licensed for simultaneous users. This means that if you have a 3-user license for the MainBoss CMMS software, then up to three people can work in MainBoss at the same time. Similarly, if your MainBoss @Requests software is licensed for 25 requestors, then up to 25 people can email in their work requests. As your company grows or as more and more people see the benefits of MainBoss and would like to work in the program, it may be necessary to increase the number of user licenses. In order to purchase one or more user licenses, contact either a MainBoss representative in your area or the MainBoss head office directly. You will be issued a new license key, which determines how many users your company is licensed for. You enter the new license key into MainBoss 2.9 in the following manner:
1. Open MainBoss and login with access to the Administration menu
2. Go to Administration->License Key
3. Edit the current license key for whichever program you have bought more licenses (i.e. CMMS, @Requests or ServiceDesk)
4. In the Edit License window overwrite the existing license key with the new one
5. Click Save & Cancel
6. Your program is now licensed for the new number of licenses

5. MainBoss Tip sheet: These can be purchased from head office. The booklet is laminated to make it spill and smudge proof and gives you step-by-step instructions for doing common procedures in MainBoss such as creating work orders and purchase orders. Everyone loves these!
